Trunk or Treat

Our church does a Halloween party called the "Trunk Or Treat" every year and the kids love it! We have dinner, games and the kids are able to go "trick or treating" by collecting candies from the back of cars in a parking lot. This year, I was in charge of one game (Mystery Boxes) and had to make cupcakes for a cake walk. Once again, it was totally fun!

There were Tarantulas (Fake ones from dollar store), Brains (Jello mixed with pasta), Eyeballs (Peeled grapes), Ears (Fake ones from dollar store) and Teeth (Corn nuts). It was A HIT!

We won Disneyland tickets!

So, we won! After a extreme and slightly pathetic amount of text messages sent (thank goodness for unlimited texting) we FINALLY won! I'm cheap. I have no shame in admitting that. I am very tight with money and when radio/tv stations started giving away 4 2 Day pack of Disneyland tickets I was thrilled. I entered contests religiously for over 3 months. I was determined to win. And it paid off.

As soon as the secret code was said over the air, I would text Tyler (on his work and personal phone) and my mother in law or mom so they could text. And then I would text like over 100 times. I have to admit every time I saw, " Sorry you didn't win..." I kept thinking it was a scam. I was bitter.

 BEST FEELING EVER!!!
We can't wait!!!!!! :)

1st Annual Camp Andujar

My dad pitched an idea of a family camp out where we would hike, sleep in tents out in our backyard, play games and most importantly, bond as a family. He wanted to make it as realistic as possible. So my fun little appetizers were out of the question :-/ and our stove and oven.  We all loved the idea and planned it for Labor Day weekend. It was SUCH A BLAST! We roasted hot dogs, cut up watermelon, made s'mores, went on a night hike until Ty freaked out because he thought all of the animals outside were trying to get him, swam in the lake (pool), played games and had a archery contest for 2.5 seconds (ahem, dad).
 Welcome to Camp Andujar!

I'm OBSESSED with this picture!!! :)
 Night swimming!

 S'more time!

I had to sneak a picture of Ty sleeping in the tent :)
No TV means board games for the kids!

We all had a great time even though everyone woke up to rain and thundering (except Gabriella and me... she slept in her crib)!  It was such a great experience for the aunts and uncles to bond with the little ones and the grandparents to love on all of the grand kids. Family is so important and we have all decided this will have to be an annual event. We made so many fun memories and the kids LOVED it!

Manos, Pies, y Boca

So, I thought saying it in Spanish would make it sound less gross... but nope. A few weeks ago we found out Ty had Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. Ty was about to go inside the pool and told me a bug bit him and he had a bump. So I go in the backyard and he had two pea sized blisters on his hand. I immediately thought it was weird and then I look at his hand and he has red bumps in between his fingers and toes. I make an appointment for the doctor hoping it was an irritation since he was in the pool for like 6 hrs straight the day before. I was a tad grossed out so Tyler took the day off so he could come with me to take him in. We go to the doctors and they said he has Hand, Foot and Mouth. She gives me a pamphlet telling me that he might get blisters in his mouth and they will probably get worse. I was so disgusted I moved away from Ty and was just mentally freaking out. For 1, bumps totally gross me out. Like I seriously can't handle bumps. Poop and vomit don't bug me AT ALL. But for some reason, I cannot handle blisters or bumps. And 2, they said it was highly contagious and I didn't want Gabriella to get it. I go home google pictures, which is probably the WORSE thing you can do because they show the nastiest and worse case scenarios of the disease.

We go to the store and buy a bunch of disinfectant spray. It lasted 4 days and then all of the blisters went away. Then 4 days later he got the weirdest rash which we found out was an irritation from his undies. :) Poor Ty was so sad that he couldn't touch or be near Gabriella. I probably overreacted but I didn't want her to get sick. The doctor said if she were to get it she could most likely get a fever. I was most worried about that because Ty had a febrile seizure when he was a baby and I couldn't go through that again. We also missed church because I have a big issue with sharing diseases and exposing others. Luckily, he is fine and now is immune to it. It was a hardest 4 days attempting to keep Ty from Gabriella so she wouldn't get it. After the blisters went away I sanitized each and every toy, bedding, stuffed animals he owned. I also sprayed door handles, chairs, lamps basically everything in our house.

Thank goodness it's over!

35 weeks!

I'm sure I will be saying this every week but 35 weeks pregnant sounds a little scary! This pregnancy has gone by so fast!! I can't believe in 5 weeks (or less) we will be seeing our little girl! So many things have changed within the past two weeks. First off, we decided on a name....
Gabriella Marie and Ella for short.
Her name has been a toss up for some time. However, Tyler has stood by this name and finally after testing out the name with our last name it clicked and was perfect. We picked Marie because we wanted to represent our mother's, who are very important to us. My mother in law's name is Maria and my mom's middle name is Maria (my grandma's name is Maria as well). However, Tyler and I didn't like the sound of Gabriella Maria. So we changed it to Marie.
Now, that the name was finally picked we have been able to work on her nursery. Hopefully in a few days we should be able to post lots of pictures of her nursery!
We had our hospital tour last week and it was such a great experience. The hospital is GORGEOUS! It was just remodeled and the rooms are beautiful! I was so pleased with where we will be bringing Gabriella into this world. Ty was very good throughout the tour and loved seeing all of the rooms and talk about the baby. It was nice because they were very attentive towards him and made sure he was interested throughout the whole tour. Although, he was a little bummed that she wasn't coming right there. I guess we got his hopes up a little lol
The diaper bag is fully packed! It has been 4 years since I have had a newborn so I completely forgot everything that needs to go inside. Ty is so easy now and all I bring are snacks for him and we are set. So because I couldnt remember what to put in one I had to go on multiple websites to make sure we had everything and look up different tips.
I wanted to make sure we have everything done by the 2nd of April. Sounds a little ridiculous to get everything done so early but Ty was early and we were not prepared at all. We didn't even have the car seat in the car or ready at all for him to come. Luckily, I am not nearly as busy as I was with him so I am very fortunate to get all of this done early. Just in case, Ella decides to make her arrival early! So now that I am 35 weeks, I thought it would be acceptable to install the car seat base. Then, I wanted to make sure the car seat fit in well (it does) and it looks so cute :) While putting the car seat in, the canopy part was completely covering the car seat and Ty said, "Mommy, you need to lift it up. She can't see me. She wants to see me cause she loves me." It was sooo cute! This little boy is so excited for his little sister.
Now, the stuff we need to do. I need to pack my hospital bag, pack Tyler's hospital bag (which is just some toiletries, snacks and cash) and Ty's overnight bag. Most likely, when I go into labor we will be dropping him off at my parents since they live so close so we want to make sure he has all of the essentials! Luckily, we live so close to the hospital so if we forget anything it won't be too difficult to go home and get it. And basically that's it. Hopefully... lol

"Love you like a love song baby...."

Ty is IN LOVE with Selena Gomez. Everytime he sees a picture of her he will scream, "That's my girl." We were grocery shopping and there were Selena Gomez Go-gurts from her show Wizards of Waverly Place. Of course, we had to get them because he was just so excited. But now, we have 7 left with the male characters on them that he refuses to eat. Why aren't they being eaten?? Because Ty says they aren't his girl....
This is also his favorite song
Ohhh, my little boy and his first crush :)

Cute things Ty says :)

I was walking a little funny and Ty asked what was wrong. I told him my foot fell asleep and it was tingling. So he tells me to sit down, cover my ears and proceeds to scream at my foot saying, "WAKE UP!!!"

"I freaking love you Daddy and I freaking love this juice"

About 80% of the time, Tyler is wonderful about knowing when I am stressed and need a break. Monday was one of those days for sure. So being the wonderful guy he is, he took Ty to get a Jamba Juice. Apparently, that will be their new daddy-son bonding place because Ty is now IN LOVE with them.

Tyler said that Ty told him, " I freakin love you, Daddy and I freakin love my juice" over and over again.

Breaking Dawn

The last two twilight movies consisted of hot cocoa and waiting in line with my mama. This year we decided to switch it up since my dad and hubby both wanted to join us. We made a date night out of it and got a babysitter for the evening (my fabulous in laws) and it was BLISS! We got in line about 8:30, snacked on a bunch of junk food and enjoyed each other's company! All of the ladies kept telling me how lucky I was that my hubby came because theirs wouldn't. It was such a fun night and I was so glad to share it with my favorite people :)

Yup, I definitely have a keeper...
