Pumpking Baking with Ty

It's very important to me that Ty and I do as many fun things as we can together. Especially, since we are home together I need to do something or I will go CRAZY! lol, So we decided we were going to do different baking projects each month. This time we made Pumpkin Pie Bread and Pumpkin Pie ( Daddies Orders)
Looks kinda gross, but it is soo yummy!

Romantic Dinner ( Sorta )

Sometimes I want to spruce things up for dinner. I have all of these wonderful dinner ideas and then realize I have to watch my crazy toddler and have zero time to do plan a good dinner. Anyways, I decided to do something really sweet for my husband because he does a lot for our family and works REALLY hard. I made Chicken Cacciatore, homemade garlic bread, and corn.

Our romantic meal for two :) We had candle light, wine glasses and
Sont worry its Sonoma Sparkling ;)

Puzzle

Tyler's mom gave him a Noah's Ark puzzle for his baptism. It was wayy cute and we thought it would be such a fun activity for the two of us to do. We started Saturday at 10pm and I had every intention of staying up ALL night to finish it.. But then reality struck me and I realized we have church at 9am... 3 hrs of church! So we decided to stop and finish it the next day! And at 9:30pm we finished it!! :-) We love love love it. We decided to frame it and put it in Ty's room as decoration. We have also decided to take up more puzzles and hang them all over our house (or if they dont match, our garage! lol)

Dearest Tyler Daniel,

I love you with all of my heart and more. In fact, I would do anything for you. I did go through 25 hrs of labor which then ended up in a C-Section because for some reason my body was not cooerporating. I have always bragged about how wonderful you are and how you SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT. This beautiful act of kindness you have done since you were born which was a very big help to your father and I. So for some reason, I cannot figure out how you decide NOW to wake up at 11pm, 4am, and 7 am. We are going on 3 days now and it is a little ridiculous. I would love it if you could go back to your usual schedule of 8pm-8am. Thank You!

Love,

You tired-cranky- momma, Candace

Tyler's Baptism

I have been looking forward to write this post since Tyler told me he was ready to be baptized. Tyler started taking the discussions a few months ago. It was something I was ready for but wanted to ensure he had a testimony and truly believed it. He had talked to me and told me it felt completely right. And he had prayed about it and knew it was true. I was blown away and so proud that he took the necessary steps. My husband comes from a very loving family, however he was very unsure about how they would feel about the situation. As soon as we let his family know everyone was very supportive. Although everyone may not completely understand this, they completely supported him.

On October 10th at the Danville Stake Center he was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had his parents, step brothers and sisters, grandparents, uncle, nieces, and all of my family there to support him. We also had our old Bishop, Stake President and a bunch of people from our ward there to support him. He was very excited and felt the spirit so strong. After his baptism I asked him how he felt and he described it as a "huge weight off his back and felt light and happy." I am so proud to have a husband who loves his family as well as the gospel.

After his baptism, we had a dinner at our house with delicious Mexican Food! :) Thanks to everyone who brought food and supported my husband. I am truly so happy and so glad our family has come so far!!

Ty's 3rd Hair cut

We decided on Saturday we would get a last minute hair cut for Ty. For his first hair cut we had Tyler's friend's mom, Bonnie do it. However, it was way too last minute to make an appointment with her. Tyler tried to do it the second and time and it-well- hmmm, didnt come out the way we planned! lol, so we went to Cosmo's in Pleasanton, where Tyler had his first hair cut 20 years ago!!!
It came out very nice and we were very pleased. Grandma Maria joined us-of course!

Halloween Cookies and Pizza Party

A week ago, my dad said he was planning a romantic getaway for him and my mom. So I was in charge of watching my little sister, Mariah and my little brother, Erick. Well my sister had so much fun with Tyler's little sister, Sofia at my birthday so I thought it would be fun to have her come over and have a little party. I bought cute little halloween cut outs, frosting, sprinkles and cookies! The kids were very well behaved and everyone got along pretty well! We ended up going to the park because they were getting restless and needed to get all their energy out! Plus it was bed time so I figured the boys would be soo tired they would sleep through the night. Well, my mom ended up not feeling well so they came home and picked up the kids. :) It was a nice day and something I would want to do again!!
