Sneak Peak: Ty's 3rd Birthday Party!!

We have about 30 minutes until it's exactly one month till Ty's birthday party!!! I am ohh soo excited! I have probably been planning this since November when my adorable little boy came up to me and said he wanted a.... BLUE party! Blue was the first color he learned and instantly became his favorite color. Luckily for me because blue happens to be my favorite color as well. I figured this would be a easy and cheap theme because solid plates, cups and streamers are always cheaper than character ones. The dollar store and dollar racks have become my best friend and should be your first stop when planning a party Everytime I would be at the store I would pick up something so the final cost wouldn't be so shocking. I would get a high everytime I would buy his balloons or something to decorate with. Planning his birthday parties are such a thrill for me and one of the many reasons why I enjoy being a mom. As of right now, I have finished many of his decorations and have even finished my weekly checklist, grocery list, menu, invitations (which include addressing them), cupcake stand, banners, 60% done with centerpieces, and the favors. I am having SO much fun, if you can't tell. This is also such a special event because this will also be the 1st time many of our family will be able to see our house. Along with planning his party, we are also getting our house together and having such a fun time decorating!! So here are some sneak peak pictures :)

All of this planning and activity is helping me forget that my little boy is going to be three. Wow, time flies!

Spray painting the primer on the pots for the centerpieces :) Look at all that blue! All of the party stuff is being held in our extra bedroom. Thank goodness for guest bedrooms :)

Week 7 stats!

I had every intention of blogging weekly about my journey, but I forgot. Soooo, I am first going to update on all my stats. I'm sure there are more technically terms than the ones I will use but this is how I visualize where exactly to measure lol :) So here it goes.

In 7 weeks I have lost:

Belly - 4.5 inches

Underneath my "bulge" (LOL) - 4 inches

Rt Thigh - 2.5 inches

Rt arm-1.5 inches

Bust-4.5 inches

Underneath armpit- 4 inches

Under bust- 3 inches

Whoooo hooo! I am going to the gym 6 days a week which has contributed to my loss. There is no way, I could drop the amount I have without exercising. My mom is a aerobic instructor and is in THE BEST shape and always tells me it is IMPOSSIBLE to lose weight unless you are exercising. She has constantly given me guidance and support and I truly appreciate it. The support from everyone on facebook is also much appreciated and very helpful! It is so exhilarating watching my body start to change and reaping my rewards. I have noticed my shirts getting looser and my tummy start to go down. At times, it hasn't been easy and there have been plenty of times I don't want to go to the gym. However, if I ever want to reach my goal this is what I have to do!

Ty has been so good in the child care and loves playing with the other kids. I have 6 weeks until his party so if I keep it up everyone should see a whole new person! Or at least a much skinner and HEALTHIER one :)

P.S. I SWEAR by measuring now. It was frustrating watching the scale and wanting to be the same weight I was previously before Ty. However, it isn't realistic because my body has changed. I want to actually have muscle which weighs more. I don't have a specific number in mind but I do have a certain look I want. Each week, I continue to lose inches somewhere. So even though, I am not loosing it all in my stomach my thighs, bust and arms are continuing to lose!

Introducing our "vicious" dog....

We adopted Bella, July 31st and I just realized I never wrote a blog about her. She was a spur of the moment purchase and someone who had quickly become acclimated to our family. My husband LOVES her. My son LOVES HER. However, I have needed tons of convincing. I was never a dog person, I'll admit that. Nonetheless, she has become a permanent member of our family and frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

We got some flack from people, who apparently like to talk behind our backs about this adoption. Bella is a Pit Bull and German Shepherd mix, which sets off red flags that we have adopted a killer dog. Apparently, we are "irresponsible parents" for bringing in a dog who causes harm to children on a daily basis.

Do pit bulls have a bad rap? Yes, I know that. However, any dog can attack not just one breed. Heck, the first and only time my son got bit by a dog it was by a family members small terrier. Our dear Bella, has never inflicted any type of pain on anyone and she probably is the sweetest, most well-mannered dog I have ever met.

Anyways, word of advice if you are going to talk crap about our decision make sure it doesn't make its way back to us :) Or why don't you have the guts to tell us personally?

Ohh, that's right you don't :)

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Bella :)

They have SO much fun together :)
